Good Morning everyone! I recently completed an interview with children’s author Erin Sponaugle on my podcast, Everything Kid’s Books, which you can find under the Podcasts tab on this website as well as on most podcast platforms.
I wanted to share some information with you about Erin and her books so you can become familiar with her work and enjoy it as much as I do.
Erin has been a teacher for 16 years teaching 5th grade, but recently she changed over and became the Art teacher at Tomahawk Intermediate School. Her school, which covers grades 3-5, has approximately 600 students – all of which are Erin’s students for Art!
Erin has also started a podcast called The Next Chapter for Teachers, where she gives insight and tips to new teachers who are just starting out, as well as to teachers who have been teaching for a while but may need some encouragement with the changes to the profession arising from COVID-19.
Erin published her first book, The Adventures of Berkeley the Bear, which she also illustrated. She is currently working on finishing her 2nd book in the Berkeley the Bear series, which is titled Berkeley is a Rocket Bear.
