Good Evening everyone! Engagement with our readers and the writing industry is one of the most important pieces in marketing your book and your brand. One aspect of engagement that is a big influence is using hashtags in your social media posts. There are a few things that hashtags can be used to accomplish:
- Identifying a brand
- Recommending a product
- Connecting with like-minded people
- Finding experts
I set out and researched what hashtags I should be using in different situations, and realized that it turned into a HUGE LIST – over 100 hashtags! So I thought it could be helpful to others out there to share my list with you. I’m going to break it down in categories so it makes more sense when to use each hashtag.

I imagine this is still only a smattering of hashtags that are popular in the writing community, and don’t forget that you can always create your own unique hashtags (like #breakingwritersblock), but I hope this inspires you to start using some new hashtags in your social media posts for better engagement and marketing! Happy writing!!
Thanks for the info!!!
